Prof. Dr. Sinan Canan was born in Ankara in 1972 and is a biologist, neuroscientist, academic, researcher, and author. He graduated from Hacettepe University’s Department of Biology, completed his master’s degree in Histology‑Embryology and Ph.D. in Physiology at Ondokuz Mayıs University School of Medicine. He served as a faculty member at Başkent University, Turgut Özal University, Yıldırım Beyazıt University, and from 2016 at Üsküdar University.

In 2013, he founded the [n]Beyin education platform and in 2017 established AçıkBeyin Education and Consultancy, focusing on neuroscience-based training and consulting .
